Global workforce management technology provider, Mitrefinch, is giving payroll professionals the chance to nominate their payroll heroes to win a prize worth £200.
With the number of payrolled employees up for the seventh consecutive month, the Office for National Statistics reports 356,000 more people in payrolled employment in July compared to June.
To celebrate the hard work and raise awareness of payroll professionals over the past 18 months, Mitrefinch is rewarding the nation’s payroll heroes in line with National Payroll Week on 6-10th September.
The week celebrates the employees who make possible the £249 billion paid to the government through income tax and national insurance contributions each year.
To enter the payroll competition, professionals can submit their details on the online entry form or nominate a payroll hero they know. All entries will be entered into a raffle and a winner will be picked at random in a blind draw.
Commenting on the awards, Julie Lock, Commercial Director at Mitrefinch, said:
“We recognise the hard work which payroll professionals have committed over the past 18 months as key workers, especially in their contribution to the UK economy during the pandemic. Payrollers have achieved some outstanding efforts over the last year and a half, ensuring the UK remained paid as we navigated through personal and financial worries.
“We want to give something back to Payroll heroes with this competition, where those who have excelled can be rewarded for their hard work and be recognised by their colleagues for their incredible achievements. With the payroll profession often being overshadowed, this is designed to give payroll employees the recognition they deserve.”
Mitrefinch is already known for its Flexipay payroll software and is a proud official sponsor of the CIPP’s National Payroll Week 2021.
The Payroll Hero competition represents an opportunity for colleagues and businesses to recognise the integral part their payroll team has played over the past 18 months.
