Beauty brand Stronger increases revenue by 172% due to unique ecommerce stack and headless CMS combination
London, UK; 30th September 2021: A recent collaboration between headless CMS company Storyblok and ecommerce agency Made People has revealed the big business benefits of ‘going headless’ – helping to boost revenue by 172% for leading Swedish beauty brand, Stronger.
As part of its expansion plans, Stronger needed to be able to get bespoke content out to a range of markets and in a variety of languages, quickly. However, its existing website struggled to keep up, with the combination of a monolithic structure with Magento severely limiting the backend functionality needed to deliver an international approach.
Cue a complete revamp of the entire website headed up by Sweden-based ecommerce agency, Made People who advised creating a tailored ecommerce stack supported with Storyblok’s headless CMS solution – which enables the flexibility to deliver omni-channel focused and localised content quickly, easily and with total scalability.
Completed just six months after initial discussions, the new structure and CMS has had a transformative impact on Stronger’s ecommerce strategy. A recent test run over a key shopping period revealed an unprecedented 167% increase in orders, a 172% increase in total revenue, 14% increase in mobile conversion and a 123% increase in total traffic.
Core to this has been the ability to develop and execute monthly campaigns in line with seasonal trends, key calendar events and changing customer requirements. This speed of creation and adaptation has already seen Stronger expand into seven new markets, with sights on growing within Europe and launching in new territories like the United States.
On the rationale for choosing Storyblok, Jonathan Selander, CEO of Made People said: “We want to give our clients an easy start and grow with their technology stack as their business grows, without having to change the whole architecture. With Storyblok, we have the perfect CMS. We can start fast, and simply, and expand it as we keep tapping into new markets.”
Alexander Feiglstorfer, CTO and co-founder of Storyblok, said: “At a time of huge opportunity in the ecommerce sector, it’s important that businesses keep up in terms of ensuring an online proposition which engages and entices – with great content at the heart of this. In this vein, it was important that the new technology stack was supported with an agile CMS which would enable the wide-ranging content needed to deliver on Stronger’s international plans.
“The pedigree of our headless CMS solution fit the brief perfectly. The omnichannel architecture of our CMS has enabled Stronger get out content to multiple markets, platforms and channels, easily and at speed, as and when they require it. We are delighted with the results which are indicative of the huge commercial benefits of going headless.”
